MINUTES OF MEETING
BREWER LAKE
MAY 19 2016
President John Hilley called the meeting to order.
SECRETARY’S REPORT:
The secretary’s minutes have been passed around for members to read, Myron DeMers made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Betty LaBrun, motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Treasurer reported a beginning balance of $1389.79 from September 2015
Bills paid: Joyce Hesse $25. (from when Adam Leier was in the hospital).
Camp hosts $50.
Ending balance $1,314.79.
Change from September 2015 – Adam & Judy Leier, declined $60. check from club which was
payment for unused reservation. Thank you Adam & Judy!
Colleen Belyea made a motion to accept the Treasurers Report, seconded by Judy Leier, motion carried.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:
NOMINATING COMMITTEE: Judy Leier reported all offices/officers will remain the same for our current year.
SUNSHINE COMMITTEE: Joyce reported she sent a sympathy card to Warren Kitzman family. (Jan Kitzman had recently passed –Kitzmans were not member of our group but Winnebago friends. A get well card was sent to Helen Schatz and a Get Well card and plant were sent to Cathy Hilley; she was hospitalized when getting her pacemaker. Received a verbal thank you from Cathy.
Motion by Cathy Hilley, seconded by Gloria Danielson to accept the committee reports, motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS: None
NEW BUSINESS: President John Hilley discussed the application for Club of Excellence and all the points that have to be fulfilled.
Discussion on the Silent auction (fundraiser for our this campout’s building rental) Ed made a motion to put the funds from the silent auction into the treasury and the Treasurer should pay the building rental, regardless of how much is raised by the silent auction. Seconded by Bob Danielson, motion carried.
After discussion on the GNR youth funds, Betty LeBrun made a motion we pay our usual $50.00, seconded by Myron DeMers, motion carried.
CAMPOUTS:
June — Medora – Wednesday & Thursday, June 22nd & 23rd leaving on Friday 24th unless you decide to stay over as it is car show weekend. Thursday night we will attend the musical. Hosts, Grunetts and
Leiers. (Donna has reserved 13 spots at Red Trail Campground all are filled but waiting to hear from two SD RVs if they are coming for sure)
July – GNR Tuesday thru Saturday, July 19th thru 23rd.
August – Thief River Falls, Tour of Arctic Cat and Dig akey Electronics, third week of August, 17th & 18th, leaving on the 19th. Hosts – Evans & Rustads.
September – Undecided, Willie Blumhardt previously mentioned tours are available at the Gwinner Bobcat plant. We again discussed visiting Little Yellowstone.
Gloria Danielson made a motion to close discussion on campouts, seconded by Betty LeBrun, motion carried.
FOR THE GOOD OF THE CLUB:
Thank you to the hosts of this week’s campout, Bob & Gloria Danielson and John & Cathy Hilley, they did a terrific job.
Having no further business, meeting was adjourned. President John Hilley then called Helen Evans for a “Health Report”. Helen had been ill therefore she and John did not attend the campout. We missed them.

It was a fun weekend with many activities:
Silent Auction (fundraiser for Brewer Lake building rental)
Visit to the 4E Winery, with wine tasting and Cathy Hilley and Gloria Danielson (and others)
brought along light supper—-very good we should do more of this.!!!!

And we got to see Joyce Hesse’s new Bun coffee maker !
