Motorhome Accidents Leaving the NASCAR Bristol Race

Don't have any references or pictures (don't really need em cause I saw
it). Coming back from the Bristol Race this Sunday on I-81 ran into a
really long backup around MP60. After 10 miles at stop to 5mph came up
to Exit 71 and a Class A, fairly new, model unknown had rear ended a
semi. The front of the MH was gone back to about where the
driver/passenger seat was. Cabinets and dash all over the road. CB said
the had just airlifted the driver and passenger out to the local
hospital in really bad shape. This exit is where I-77 and I-81 meet.
Apparently the truck had to slow suddenly and the MH either didn't see
it or couldn't whoa up fast enough.

Meanwhile back at MP62 while creeping up the interstate I watched a
truck camper run into the rear end of a brand new Damon Tuscany. Tore
the rear of the MH up really bad. Didn't look so bad until you noticed
that both sides of the MH had a 10" fold in the fiberglass. Looked like
it pushed the whole engine, or at least the radiator forward about 6
inches or so.

Made me think. I always try to leave plenty of room in front to react
to emergencies ahead but, this just re-enforced the lesson.

You all take care and drive CAREFULLY!
